Does the filter need to be flushed after installation? Yes, it is recommended that you turn on the faucet and flush the filter for 5 minutes after installation. The filter media has coconut shell activated carbon, so you may see black water while you flush.

Can the system reduce TDS? NO. TDS stands for total dissolved solids and is basically composed of inorganic salts and a small amount of organic matter. The system can reduce harmful substances while keeping beneficial trace elements but not for TDS.

How to connect with the refrigerator? Waterdrop external refrigerator water filters are compatible with refrigerators that do not have built-in filters. It can be conveniently placed in many places, such as behind the refrigerator and/or ice maker, under the sink or cupboard.

At the same time, it can be used as a pre-filter in front of the refrigerator water filter to reduce small particles, dust, sand, and chlorine gas, thereby prolonging the service life of the refrigerator water filter.
